Dear members of the World Muscle Society, friends and colleagues,

On behalf of the Local Organising Committee, it is our great pleasure to extend a warm welcome to you for the upcoming 2024 World Muscle Society Annual Congress in the city of Prague.

Prague, with its centuries-old architecture, cobblestone streets, and awe-inspiring landmarks, serves as the perfect backdrop for our Congress. As you immerse yourself in the scientific discourse at the conference, we encourage you to take some time to explore the historical and cultural treasures that Prague has to offer.

The Congress, held in The Prague Congress Centre will, once again, be a hybrid event, offering the flexibility of virtual participation, but we encourage personal attendance to maximise the benefits of networking and scientific exchange.

For this Congress we, as a local organiser, picked a topic focused on acquired myopathies. We hope that this topic will broaden the classical topics focused on inherited muscular diseases and will hopefully bring new experts in our myopathy field.

We are confident that the 2024 World Muscle Society Annual Congress in Prague will not only be a platform for the exchange of cutting-edge research but also an opportunity for you to forge lasting connections with colleagues from around the world.

We are grateful to the Czech Neurological Society (Česká neurologická společnost) for supporting our Congress.

We look forward to welcoming you to what promises to be an exceptional event.

Safe travels, and see you in Prague!

Sincerely

Jana Haberlová, Radim Mazanec and Stanislav Voháňka
