Media Information

A selected number of pre-approved media representatives are invited to join the 29th Annual Congress of the World Muscle Society, both in person and virtually.

A Media Office will be established on-site to support journalists, photographers and media representatives who wish to cover abstracts, presentations and events during the Congress.

Media representatives will be expected to follow the Congress Code of Conduct and respect embargoes set by WMS, presenters and our industry partners. We request that media representatives share links to their outputs as they are published/ broadcast with the communications lead for promotion on WMS social media channels.

In-person media passes include:

• Attendance at 29th Annual Congress 8th-12th October: The Prague Congress Centre, 5. května 1640/65, Nusle, 140 00 Prague 4, Czechia
• Access to a dedicated space at the Congress, including space to work, power a laptop, access Wifi, water and beverages
• Access to the WMS EventsAir Platform to view presentations, posters, exhibitors and sponsors' information.

Please note, in person attendance does not include accommodation or travel expenses.

Virtual Media passes include:

• Access to the WMS EventsAir Platform to view presentations, posters, exhibitors and sponsors information
• Opportunity to interact with presenters via the app.

Code of conduct

Media delegates must abide by WMS Congress Ltd’s Code of Conduct.

WMS Congress Ltd reserves all rights to take action to prevent or report violations of the Code of Conduct, including blocking access to WMS 2024 Congress and future Congresses.

Embargoes

Embargoes stand until 12:00am Central European Standard Time (CEST). GMT +1 on the day of presentation for that abstract.

For late breaking abstracts, this will be the last day of the Congress.

NMD Journal, as the partner journal of the WMS and the WMS Congress has exclusive rights to publish the presentations in advance of the embargo.

Interviews with presenters, speakers or other people attending as part of the Congress agenda should be arranged through the communications lead, Catherine Ross. Vox pop style interviews with attendees are permitted. Embargoes should be respected at all times.

Because this is a hybrid meeting, the content may be available prior to the session being broadcast at the scheduled time in the programme. In this instance, the media embargo remains as stated above.
